English
Trajectories is a photographic journey into capturing kinetic and ephemeral momentum. Facing vast areas and static structures, the proposition of the active things remain ambiguous, its vector has to be completed by thoughts and assumption of the viewer. The action can have casual or tragic consequences, it can be accidental or revolutionary, in either way it serves as a starting point for the emergence of gesture.
Why does something push somewhere, why does it float, whirl, slide, burst or fall? Where does it come from, who is its thrower and why?
The reasons and starting points behind these movements, or perhaps more fittingly described by the german term "Beweggründe", remain hidden. Intentions are only indicated by the surroundings. Things hang in the sky much in the same way that bricks don´t, as their trajectory remain undefined.
In a next step, the image carrier is spatially integrated, as the photographs are printed onto carpet or textile. The representation is perspectival, meaning that the photograph is taken from a specific point of view, then corrected according to the dimensions of the image area, and subsequently printed onto a support in the same format. Through this process, the active image elements appear distorted when viewed up close; their correct representation and form become apparent from a specific vantage point. The photograph is thus more closely linked to its "media", while the distortion also lends it a surreal quality. At the same time, the image becomes an object, as the depicted, moving subject directly relates to the materiality of the carrier.
