Gestures into space is a photographic journey into movement and the latent intentions behind it. Movement is always relative, which is represented here by an active element in motion, the foreground, in relation to the surroundings.

Why does something push somewhere, why does it float, whirl, slide, burst or fall? Who threw it, what does it mean, what do the objects want? The exact cause of movement, its location and trajectory are left obscure as this series investigates the emergence of such gestures. By facing vast areas or remote structures in the background, their proposition and political statement remain ambiguous, only to be completed by the ideas of the viewer.
