Gestures into space is a photographic journey into movement and intentions behind it. As such, it is about relations of force, represented by an active element in motion in the foreground, and the steady surroundings which act like a stage, potentially receiving the motion.

Why does something push somewhere, why does it float, whirl, slide, burst or fall? Who threw it, what does it mean, what do the objects want? The causes remain unknown, or latent. Location and trajectory are left obscure, as this series investigates the emergence of gestures in a political sense. Facing vast areas and remote structures in the background, the proposition and agenda of the things remain ambiguous, the statement is only to be completed by the ideas of the viewer.
